​The Music Lessons Studio is dedicated to developing the creative and productive potential for its students. My goal as a teacher is to create a fun and productive learning environment for students of all ages. 
Lessons are designed to meet the specific needs of each student. Therefore I work to encourage an atmosphere of learning, fun, discipline, and goal-setting. The lessons will consist of technique practice, playing of repertoire appropriate to the student’s level of proficiency, theory, sight reading, and ear training. As my student, you will learn to play various styles of music, including Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Pop, and you will be instructed in a variety of technical studies for the development of strength and dexterity.

THE MUSIC LESSONS STUDIO

Lessons are supported with instructional videos, audio clips and challenging online theory games. ​You will learn to play modern pop and rock piano songs, build improvisational skills, do your own arranging and songwriting and have the ability to record your performances for review and playback on CD. The studio has ample visual learning and educational aids, as well as musical charts to promote easy learning and retention.

As a teacher I assess what we should be working on based on your strengths and weaknesses. I believe that lessons should be fun and not a chore, but I also believe in having well-rounded lessons filled with learning for the student. Lessons

  • Basic music theory and learning the layout of the keyboard.

  • Learning techniques that help students develop and understand the physical skills needed to play music artistically and with technical assurance.

  • Exercises to develop finger strength and independence.

  • Learning scales and chords as a base for understanding theory.

  • Working towards learning songs and how to improvise in various styles of music including pop, classical, rock, blues, and jazz.

  • Sight reading and ear training.
